Overview
The LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup is one of the flagship events organized by LGSP Sports and Events Lufthansa City Center, bringing together young football talents from different parts of the world. Established in 2022, the competition has grown year after year, increasing the number of participating teams and, in particular, international teams.
The main goal of the tournament is to become a reference among youth football competitions in Portugal, welcoming athletes from all corners of the world. Since its first edition, we have proudly hosted players in Portugal from countries such as Spain, Italy, France, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Honduras, and Singapore.
More than just a competition, the LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup is a celebration of sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and international friendship. Young athletes have the opportunity to compete in a highly competitive environment while also experiencing cultural sharing and personal growth, united by the universal language of sport.

LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup – 2025 Edition
The fourth edition of the LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup took place in April 2025 at the Sport Clube Rio Tinto Sports Complex, further establishing the tournament as one of the leading international youth football events in Portugal.
This edition featured 20 teams, including 8 international sides, representing eight countries: Portugal, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Honduras, Singapore, and Sweden.
Participating clubs included:
- Portugal: FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, SC Braga, Vitória SC, SC Rio Tinto, SC Salgueiros, Beira-Mar, Rio Ave, Famalicão, Leixões, Foz

- Belgium: Maluka Football Academy

The tournament was proudly supported by Helton, former Brazilian international and renowned goalkeeper, who served as the official patron, emphasizing the event’s strong connection to high-level football.
With the largest number of teams so far and expanded international representation, the 2025 edition offered a thrilling and competitive showcase of emerging football talents, providing unique sporting and cultural experiences while continuing its mission to unite young players from around the world through the beautiful game.
LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup – 2024 Edition
The third edition of the LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup took place in 2024 at the Sport Clube Rio Tinto Sports Complex, further highlighting the tournament’s international growth and ambition. It is increasingly establishing itself as a benchmark for youth football in Portugal.
This edition featured 16 teams, including 5 international sides, representing six countries: Portugal, Spain, England, Italy, the Netherlands, and Honduras. Among the Portuguese clubs participating were historic names such as FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, SC Braga, Vitória SC, SC Rio Tinto, Leixões, CD Feirense, Varzim, Beira-Mar, and SC Salgueiros. The international lineup included prestigious clubs such as RC Deportivo (Spain), Wolverhampton (England), Juventus (Italy), FC Twente (Netherlands), and Póvoa Pro Academy (Honduras).

LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup – 2023 Edition
The second edition of the LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup took place in 2023 at the Complexo Desportivo Sport Clube Rio Tinto, continuing the growth and internationalization of this youth football tournament.
This edition featured 12 teams, including 4 international clubs, representing five countries: Portugal, Spain, England, the Netherlands, and Singapore. Prestigious Portuguese clubs such as FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, SC Braga, Vitória SC, SC Salgueiros, Gondomar SC, and SC Rio Tinto competed alongside renowned international teams including RC Deportivo Coruña (Spain), Wolverhampton (England), Prestige Football Academy (Netherlands), and Lion City Sailors (Singapore).
The 2023 tournament was proudly supported by Domingos Paciência, former Portuguese international and a respected figure in football, who served as the event’s ambassador.
With an increasingly diverse and competitive line-up, the 2023 edition further consolidated the LGSP Intercontinental Youth Cup as a high-quality event, offering unique experiences both on and off the pitch while reinforcing its goal of becoming a leading reference among youth football tournaments in Portugal.

Participating teams included some of the most prestigious names in Portuguese football such as FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, Boavista FC, Vitória SC, SC Braga, Leixões, and SC Salgueiros, alongside Spanish clubs RC Deportivo and Celta de Vigo.

The Capital do Móvel Tournament was one of the major sporting events organized by LCC LGSP Sports & Events, bringing together some of the top professional football teams in Portugal for a high-level pre-season competition.
Held in Paços de Ferreira, the tournament stood out for its excellent organization and competitive spirit, providing participating teams with the perfect opportunity to test strategies and prepare for the upcoming season.
The competition featured prestigious clubs such as FC Porto, Boavista FC, Paços de Ferreira and Vitória SC, reinforcing the tournament’s status as a high-profile pre-season event within Portuguese football.
Featuring exciting matches and strong fan engagement, the Capital do Móvel Tournament became a regional highlight and an important milestone in the pre-season calendar for several Primeira Liga clubs.
